Henan Luoyang initiated an orange alert response to severe pollution weather.

Office of the Ecological Environment Protection Committee of Luoyang City announced that starting from November 10th, the city will initiate an orange alert response to heavy pollution weather. Due to worsening overall diffusion conditions in the city, Luoyang City is expected to experience moderate to severe pollution from November 10th to 15th. In order to reduce pollution peaks, shorten pollution duration, and minimize pollution levels to ensure public health, this alert response has been initiated. The Office of the Ecological Environment Protection Committee of Luoyang City advises the public to reduce outdoor activities, avoid participating in large outdoor gatherings, and take appropriate health protection measures. Children, the elderly, and individuals with cardiovascular, respiratory diseases, and other susceptible groups are advised to stay indoors. If outdoor activities are necessary, protective measures should be taken. The general public is encouraged to reduce outdoor sports and outdoor work time. If unavoidable, protective measures should be implemented. The education department should ensure that primary and secondary schools, kindergartens suspend outdoor classes and activities, and activate air purification devices if available. The health department should ensure that medical institutions set up outpatient clinics and emergency departments for related diseases, increase medical staff, and extend consultation hours. Relevant institutions should suspend the approval of large outdoor gatherings and activities.
