A reporter asked: On November 9, US East Coast time, the Office of the US Trade Representative issued a notice announcing the suspension of the implementation of the 301 investigation measures on Chinese shipbuilding and other industries on November 10. What is the Ministry of Commerce's comment on this? China has noted that the US announced on November 9 local time that it will suspend the implementation of the 301 investigation measures on Chinese shipbuilding and other industries from 0:01 on November 10 for one year, specifically including the suspension of port fees on relevant Chinese ships and the suspension of additional tariffs on Chinese shipyard cranes and other equipment. This is an important step for the US and China to move towards each other and jointly implement the consensus reached in the economic and trade consultations in Kuala Lumpur. On the same day, China also suspended the implementation of relevant countermeasures accordingly. China is willing to communicate and negotiate with the US on related issues based on mutual respect and equal consultation, and looks forward to the US continuing to move closer to China and jointly maintaining a fair competition environment in the international shipping and shipbuilding market, injecting more certainty and stability into China-US economic and trade cooperation and the world economy.
