Defending against typhoon "Phoenix", Fujian Province has launched a level III emergency response to typhoons.
According to the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters in Fujian Province, Typhoon No. 26 "Phoenix" was about 520 kilometers south-southwest of Taiwan's Eluanbi as of 15:00 on November 10, with maximum wind speeds near the center reaching 13th level. It is expected to move towards the northwest at a speed of 10-15 kilometers per hour. It is forecasted to gradually turn towards the northeast starting the night of November 11, and to make landfall again along the southwest coast of Taiwan Island in the afternoon to night of November 12. The Flood Control Headquarters of Fujian Province initiated a Level III emergency response to typhoon at 16:00 on November 10. The Flood Control Headquarters of Fujian Province and the Provincial Emergency Management Department have instructed all relevant departments in different regions to closely monitor the development of the typhoon, promptly initiate emergency response, and implement defense measures in detail.
