The European Union launches an anti-subsidy investigation on low-weight thermal paper from China.

On November 7th, the European Commission announced that a countervailing investigation will be initiated on low-weight thermal paper originating from China, in response to an application filed by the European Thermal Paper Association on September 24, 2025. The products under investigation are classified under EU CN codes ex 4809 90 00, ex 4811 90 00, ex 4816 90 00, and ex 4823 90 85. The subsidy investigation period is from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the subsidy investigation period.
