On November 9th, according to statistics from the FlightAware website, as of 1:15 p.m. Eastern Time on the same day, a total of 4940 flights in the United States were delayed and 1670 flights were cancelled. The most delayed flights were at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, with over 600 flights affected. The most cancelled flights were at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with over 320 flights cancelled. Southwest Airlines had 1030 delayed flights that day, while Delta Air Lines had nearly 390 flights cancelled. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said on November 9th that air travel would be significantly reduced.
