On November 7, 2025, the third China-Switzerland Ministerial Financial Conference was held in Bern, Switzerland. Xuan Changneng, Vice President of the People's Bank of China, and the State Secretary of the Swiss Federal Department of Finance, Stoffel, co-chaired the meeting. The People's Bank of China, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, as well as the Swiss Federal Department of Finance, the Swiss National Bank, and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority attended the conference. The two sides had in-depth discussions on economic and financial situations, global financial governance, bilateral financial regulatory cooperation, currency cooperation, financial market connectivity, digital innovation, sustainable finance, and other topics. The Chinese side also introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the main contents of the "15th Five-Year Plan" to the Swiss side. The two sides also held a dialogue between financial institutions, where representatives from financial institutions of both countries were invited to attend and speak. The financial management departments of both sides listened carefully to the suggestions put forward by the participating financial institutions, and engaged in thorough communication on the specific demands such as financial industry opening-up, market access, financial market cooperation, and others. Both sides pledged to follow the principle of pragmatism and efficiency, and to continue to follow up on the cooperation intentions in key areas discussed at the meeting. Both sides agreed that the China-Switzerland Ministerial Financial Conference mechanism provides an important platform for the financial management departments of both countries to strengthen policy communication and for the financial institutions of both sides to deepen practical cooperation, contributing to the continuous enhancement of the innovative strategic partnership between China and Switzerland.
