The Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Port has seen a seat occupancy rate of nearly 75% since its opening last year.

The 18th China Cruise Industry Development Conference opened in Nansha, Guangzhou. Liu Wei, member of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Nansha District Committee, stated that Nansha International Cruise Port is one of the largest cruise port complexes in the country. Since its opening last year, the port has operated 28 voyages, serving over 140,000 inbound and outbound passengers with an average occupancy rate of nearly 75%. The second domestically-built large cruise ship, named "Aida Huacheng" after the city of Guangzhou, will start regular operations in Nansha as its main homeport by the end of 2026.
