Component stocks included platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold-related stocks, and metal processing group Sibanye Stillwater, which fell by 3.75%, Naspers fell by 3.32%, and Prosus fell by 3%, making it the third largest decline. The South African Rand against the US Dollar has cumulatively increased by 0.03% this week, currently at 17.3266 Rand, showing a V-shaped reversal overall. This week, the Stock Exchange of Mauritius SEMDEX Index fell by 1.03%, continuing to decline, the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index fell by 2.99%, continuing to decline, and the Nairobi Stock Exchange All Share Index rose by 2.01%.
