Trump has always portrayed himself as the main spokesperson for the Republican Party in addressing cost of living issues. Since December of last year, Trump has given five speeches on economic issues, in which he has claimed nearly 20 times that inflation has been controlled or significantly decreased, and nearly 30 times claimed that prices are falling.
