On November 7, 2025, the "Belt and Road" Trade and Investment Forum was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and President of the China Chamber of International Commerce, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Ren Hongbin stated that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has made important arrangements for the high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative, once again sending a positive signal of openness, cooperation, mutual benefit, and shared prosperity to the world. The business community is a vital force in the construction of the "Belt and Road," and he hopes that the business community will be practitioners of win-win cooperation, advocates of openness and inclusiveness, and builders of connectivity. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Commerce will further improve the mechanisms for economic and trade cooperation under the "Belt and Road" initiative, help enterprises enhance the quality and efficiency of practical cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" initiative. During the forum, Ren Hongbin separately met with the chairpersons of multiple business chambers from various countries participating in the forum to discuss deepening multilateral and bilateral mechanism cooperation, strengthening coordinated development of industrial and supply chains, and promoting exchanges among business communities in various countries. The forum, hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce, had the theme of "Driving Green Growth Chains, Building a Resilient Future Together." More than 400 representatives from political, business, and academic circles from 44 countries, including leaders of business associations and diplomats stationed in China, attended the forum.
