1. Government Shutdown: On the 6th local time, the majority leader of the United States Senate and Republican John Thune announced that a vote will be held on the 7th local time to try to pass a funding proposal aimed at ending the federal government shutdown. 4. Weight Loss Drugs: Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk have reached an agreement with the Trump administration to significantly reduce the prices of their best-selling weight loss drugs. Eli Lilly will invest $27 billion in the United States, Novo Nordisk will invest $10 billion, and both companies will receive a three-year tariff exemption in the U.S.
5. India: Trump said "Negotiations with India are progressing smoothly. I may visit India next year."
6. Hungary: Trump will meet Hungarian Prime Minister Orban at 11:45 am local time on Friday to discuss issues related to Russian oil and economic cooperation. The Hungarian Foreign Minister said that Hungary and the United States will sign an agreement on nuclear fuel and small reactors.
7. Central Asia: Trump said, "Strengthening economic partnerships with Central Asia; some Central Asian countries will join the Abraham Accords." It was reported that the United States and Uzbekistan have signed a trade and economic agreement. In addition, the Trump administration could announce agreements as soon as Thursday to sell up to 37 Boeing aircraft to airlines in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

9. Venezuela: The U.S. Senate voted 51 to 49 to reject a resolution aimed at prohibiting President Trump from launching military action against Venezuela without congressional authorization.
