Chinese scientists have made important discoveries in rare earths.

Researchers in our country have not only discovered a large amount of rare earth elements enriched in a fern plant called Pteris vittata, but also for the first time observed these rare earth elements "self-assembling" between plant tissue cells, forming a mineral called "lanthanoide". This is the first time that scientists have discovered the biological mineralization phenomenon of rare earth elements in natural plants, providing a new path for the sustainable utilization of rare earth resources in the future. The relevant results were published online in the international academic journal "Environmental Science & Technology" on November 5th.
