IDC: In the third quarter, the shipment volume of smartphones in China was approximately 68.46 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%.
According to the Securities Times app, the latest quarterly tracking report on mobile phones by the International Data Corporation (IDC) shows that in the third quarter of 2025, the shipment of smartphones in China was about 68.46 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%, continuing the downward trend. This quarter belongs to the traditional off-season for mobile phone sales, with fewer new product releases and consumers becoming more rational in their spending, especially with the tightening of the "national subsidy" policy. Starting from the mid to late September, various brands will release a large number of flagship new products ahead of schedule, leading to a potential improvement in market performance in the early next quarter. However, as some demand has already been released in the first half of the year, even with the year-end promotion of "Double Eleven," it is difficult to stimulate more consumer desire.
