According to financial news app Wise News, based on a major media report last Thursday, Facebook's parent company Meta (META.US) is expected to generate 10% of its total revenue in 2024, approximately $16 billion, from online advertising campaigns promoting fraudulent information and prohibited products. The media report cited an internal document from Meta, which included advertising for "fraudulent e-commerce and fraudulent investment plans, illegal online casinos, and the sale of banned medical products".
