The top award of the 2025 World Internet Conference goes to quantum computing for the first time.

The winner of the Leading Technology Award, the highest technology award at the World Internet Conference, has been announced. In the field of quantum computing, the project "Key Technologies and Applications of Large-Scale High-Speed Programmable Photonic Quantum Computing Chips for Practical Use" jointly developed by the Wuxi Photonic Chip Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Turing Quantum has won this award. This is also the first achievement in the field of quantum computing since the establishment of this award.
