Ford Motor Company is reportedly considering discontinuing production of the electric version of the F-150 pickup truck.

According to reports, Ford executives are actively discussing abandoning the electric version of the F-150 pickup truck. Ford once hailed the F-150 Lightning as the "modern-day Model T" to highlight its importance to the company, but due to a lack of interest from American truck buyers in the electric version of the best-selling truck, its performance has fallen short of expectations. Since 2023, Ford has accumulated losses of $13 billion in its electric vehicle business.
