Standard Chartered Bank adjusts management team again to strengthen regional governance structure
A few weeks after appointing Roberto Hoornweg as Chief Executive Officer of Corporate and Investment Banking, Standard Chartered made further adjustments to several senior positions within the bank. According to sources familiar with the matter, Mandy DeFilippo, who is currently responsible for managing the bank's operations in the United States and the Americas, will also take on the role of managing governance operations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Pakistan. Patrick Lee will continue to oversee affairs in Southeast Asian countries, and will also take on governance responsibilities in South Asia. A spokesperson for Standard Chartered declined to comment. With the majority of its revenue coming from the Asian and Middle Eastern markets, Standard Chartered continues to deepen its presence in these regions in order to enhance investor returns. In October, Standard Chartered promoted Roberto Hoornweg, who had previously served as Co-Head alongside Sunil Kaushal, to assume the role after Kaushal's decision to retire on March 31, 2026.
