The Baltic Dry Index continues its upward trend, reaching a two-week high, supported by strong rates for Capesize and Panamax vessels. The Baltic Dry Index rose 60 points or 3% from the previous trading day to 2063 points, the highest level since October 22. The Capesize vessel rate index increased by 158 points, or 5.1%, to 3242 points, the highest level in over three weeks. The average daily profit for Capesize vessels increased by $1315 to $26888. The Panamax vessel rate index rose by 24 points or 1.3% to 1817 points. The average daily profit for Panamax vessels increased by $211 to $16351. The Supramax vessel rate index rose by 5 points or 0.4% to 1312 points. The Handysize vessel rate index fell by 5 points to 815 points.
