Survey: OPEC slightly increased production last month and core member countries gradually resumed some suspended supplies.
According to a survey, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) slightly increased its oil production last month as core member countries began gradually restarting another portion of previously suspended supply. In October, OPEC's daily oil production increased by 50,000 barrels to reach 29.07 million barrels per day. Despite a rise in production in major oil-producing countries like Saudi Arabia, decreases in production in other member countries such as Libya and Venezuela offset some of the gains.
