Deng Jianxin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Nanchang Municipal Public Utility Investment Holding Co., Ltd., has been expelled from the party.

According to the "Clean Jiangxi" official account, approved by the Communist Party of China Nanjing Municipal Committee, the Nanjing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision conducted a disciplinary investigation against Deng Jianxin, former secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Nanjing Municipal Public Investment Holding Co., Ltd., for serious violation of discipline and laws. It was found that Deng Jianxin had lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, was not loyal and honest to the party, resisted organizational investigation, colluded with others, transferred, concealed evidence; disregarded the spirit of the Eight-point Regulation of the Central Committee, accepted gifts, money, banquets and travel arrangements that may affect the fair execution of public duties for a long time, presented gifts beyond normal norms to officials; lacked organizational awareness, did not truthfully explain problems when questioned by the organization, sought benefits for others in staff recruitment, job promotion, etc.; breached the bottom line of integrity, used his power to benefit relatives and had others pay expenses that should have been paid by himself; acted arbitrarily, intervened in and meddled in engineering project bidding and contracting; had a negative family influence, neglected to supervise and educate his spouse and children; engaged in power-for-money transactions, using his power, privilege, and position to benefit others in engineering project contracting, settlement of engineering funds, enterprise restructuring, and illegally accepted substantial amounts of money. Deng Jianxin's actions seriously violated party political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, constituted serious violations of law and crime, and did not restrain or stop his actions after the 18th National Congress of the Party. The nature of the offenses was serious and had a severe negative impact, and therefore, he should be severely dealt with. In accordance with the relevant regulations of the "Disciplinary Regulations of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Civil Servant Disciplinary Regulations of the People's Republic of China," the Nanjing Municipal Commission for Discipline and Supervision decided, after deliberation at a meeting of the Standing Committee, and with the approval of the Communist Party of China Nanjing Municipal Committee, to expel Deng Jianxin from the party, cancel his entitlements, confiscate his ill-gotten gains, transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution, and transfer all related property.
