On November 5th, the sub-forum "Promoting Global Energy Transformation through High-Quality Development of New Energy Storage" of the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center. Song Hongkun, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, systematically elaborated on China's phased achievements, policy orientation, and future deployment in promoting the development of renewable energy and new energy storage, and expressed expectations for international cooperation. He said that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, China's development of new energy storage has directly driven project investments of over 200 billion RMB, leading to a total investment of over 1 trillion RMB in the industry chain, providing high-performance products to countries around the world, and contributing China's strength to global energy transformation. In the next step, the National Energy Administration will continue to improve policy planning and top-level design, scientifically and reasonably plan the development of new energy storage in the 15th Five-Year Plan, increase support for technological innovation in the field of new energy storage, accelerate the improvement of the market mechanism for new energy storage, widely gather development forces, promote high-quality development of new energy storage, actively cultivate new productive forces in the energy field, and comprehensively support the timely achievement of carbon peaking goals. "We are willing to explore and conduct various aspects of technological exchange with countries around the world, accelerate the innovation and development of new energy storage technology industry, and strengthen international cooperation in the energy field," Song Hongkun said.
