Sichuan promulgates the management measures for provincial key laboratories. Laboratories that have not met the requirements for two consecutive years will no longer be included in the provincial key laboratory sequence.

According to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, in order to standardize and strengthen the construction and management of key laboratories in Sichuan Province, the "Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory Management Measures" have been recently issued. The "Management Measures" stipulate that a combination of annual evaluation and periodic assessment will be implemented as the assessment mechanism, covering aspects such as research level and contribution, team building and talent cultivation, achievement transformation and application contribution, external openness and science popularization activities, laboratory construction and operation management. Based on the assessment results, adjustments will be made dynamically, with support provided in different levels. For example, in the annual evaluation, innovative resources will be tilted towards provincial key laboratories with a rating of "5 stars" or "4 stars", while those rated as "unqualified" will be given a one-year rectification period. If a key laboratory is rated as "unqualified" for two consecutive years, it will no longer be included in the provincial key laboratory sequence.
