Chongqing: funding support will be provided to type 1 innovative drugs and other projects that meet the requirements of major science and technology projects.

The General Office of the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality has issued the "Chongqing Municipality's Measures to Support the High-quality Development of Innovative Drugs in the Whole Chain", in which it proposes to encourage the research and development of innovative products. For category 1 innovative drugs, category 2 improved new drugs, and biosimilar drug projects that meet the requirements of major science and technology projects support, they will be approved in four stages: preclinical research, phase I clinical trials, phase II clinical trials, and phase III clinical trials. They will receive funding support not exceeding 20% of the total research and development investment, with maximum support of 2 million yuan per project for each stage.
