Hong Kong Commerce and Economic Development Bureau Director Edward Yau: Hong Kong government establishes a special team to coordinate the work of mainland companies going global, and to create a one-stop resource platform.
According to the website of Radio Television Hong Kong on November 6, the Hong Kong SAR government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council organized the "Hong Kong: the preferred platform for mainland enterprises to go global" promotion event in Shanghai. The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong SAR government, Edward Yau, stated in his speech that the government had established a "Mainland Enterprises Going Global Task Force" this year to coordinate the efforts of various government departments and related agencies in going global, with the aim of building a one-stop platform for going global that is fast, effective, and unprecedented through the allocation of resources across different departments, agencies, and industries. Yau emphasized that the task force focuses on win-win cooperation, bringing together cross-sectoral forces such as legal, financial, and accounting sectors to promote resource integration and knowledge sharing, and to leverage synergies. The task force has already gathered the first batch of supporting organizations for mainland enterprises going global, including chambers of commerce, law firms, and banks familiar with different overseas markets, to provide comprehensive resources for enterprises going global. Yau stated that the task force will prioritize effectiveness, and will provide a diverse range of resources such as tax and legal assistance based on the actual needs of overseas markets and enterprises, to help mainland enterprises use Hong Kong as a base to connect with overseas markets.
