OpenAI's Chief Financial Officer stated that the company is not yet ready to go public with an IPO.
Sarah Friar, Chief Financial Officer of OpenAI, stated that an IPO is "not on the table" in the near future. The company's transition to a new structure does not indicate an imminent public offering, as the current focus is on growth and research rather than profitability. Friar said: "An IPO is currently not on the table. We are continuing to improve the company to adapt to the scale we are at, so I don't want to be constrained by the limitations of an IPO." Earlier reports suggested that the company was considering a public listing as early as 2027.
