City Developments Limited planned to build its first overseas photovoltaic power station in Hungary and has officially started construction.
Chinese environmental protection enterprises have achieved new results in "going global". On October 31st, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 30MW photovoltaic power generation project in Borsod, Hungary, was held in the northeast city of Borsod, Hungary. The R&D center of Chengdu Environment also opened a branch in Zhengzhou to witness the project commencement. Chairman Huang Xinmin, CEO Li Ge, and other executives of Chengdu Environment jointly pressed the project start button. The Borsod photovoltaic project in Hungary is located in the northeast part of Hungary, about 150 kilometers from the capital Budapest. It is a joint venture project developed by Chengdu Environment and Jifu Investment, with an installed capacity of 30 megawatts and covering an area of approximately 50 hectares. Chengdu Environment is fully responsible for project construction management. According to approval from the Hungarian government, the project is scheduled to be connected to the grid and start generating electricity in January 2027. It is estimated that the photovoltaic power generation project in Hungary will have an annual output of 35 million kilowatt-hours, which can meet the electricity needs of about 20,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 30,000 tons.
