UnionPay and Thailand's The Mall Group sign a memorandum of cooperation.

On November 5th, UnionPay International signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with the well-known commercial center operator The Mall Group in Thailand, agreeing to deepen cooperation in optimizing acceptance experience, brand marketing promotion, and data analysis sharing. Both parties will work together to ensure that all merchants in existing and newly built shopping centers can accept UnionPay payments, prominently display UnionPay logos, and jointly plan more brand promotion and marketing activities. It is understood that in October 2025, the cross-border QR code interoperability project between China and Thailand operated by UnionPay and PromptPay's operator National ITMX officially launched, allowing Chinese tourists visiting Thailand to scan PromptPay QR codes for payment using the UnionPay app.
