On the evening of November 4, Brussels Airport in Belgium twice suspended flights due to the discovery of drones, causing several incoming flights to be rerouted and some outgoing flights to be canceled. Kurt Verwilghen, spokesman for the Belgian air traffic control agency, stated that drones were spotted near Brussels Airport close to 8 pm local time, prompting the airport to temporarily close for safety reasons. Over an hour later, Belgium's busiest airport briefly reopened. However, shortly after, drones were once again detected, leading to another closure. Air traffic at Brussels Airport resumed around 11:15 pm on November 4. This was the first time that air traffic at the airport had been disrupted due to the discovery of drones.
