For top talent teams in industries such as 6G and compound semiconductors, the maximum support is up to 100 million yuan! On November 4th, Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone held a press conference to announce the implementation of special measures for top talent, targeting top talents worldwide in future industries. The policy support mainly targets three types of top talent groups: recipients of major international science and technology awards such as the Nobel Prize and the Turing Award, strategic scientists represented by Chinese and foreign academicians focusing on basic research and frontier exploration; industry leaders represented by national-level talents and R&D heads of well-known companies focusing on key core technology breakthroughs and industrialization of scientific achievements; academic experts from well-known universities and institutes representing future technology leaders, focusing on forward-looking and disruptive technological directions. This new policy for top talents provides funding of 20 to 50 million yuan and 50 to 100 million yuan for projects, with 100 million yuan full support for major and urgent projects. In addition, up to 20% of the startup funds can be pre-allocated in the year the project is settled, leading to a greater breakthrough in support implementation, at a leading level nationwide.
