Typhoon "Seagull" affects the South China Sea. The Ministry of Natural Resources has activated a Level Four emergency response for marine disasters.
Due to the impact of Typhoon "Seagull", the nearshore waters of the South China Sea will experience a catastrophic wave process. The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center has issued an orange alert for waves in the nearshore waters. According to the "Emergency Plan for Marine Disasters", the Ministry of Natural Resources has decided to initiate a level four emergency response for marine disasters in Hainan Province on November 5th at 9:00 AM. Provinces, cities, and relevant units of the Ministry of Natural Resources that are affected are required to organize emergency monitoring, consultation, analysis, forecasting, warnings, and disaster investigation and assessment. According to forecasts, the catastrophic waves from this typhoon process will mainly affect a large area of the South China Sea. Ships engaged in maritime operations are advised to stay away from dangerous waters to ensure safe navigation, and relevant coastal units should take preventive measures in advance.
