Wang Yi accepts newly appointed African Union Ambassador's letter of credence and meets with the Foreign Minister of Estonia.

On the 4th, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the new African Union representative to China, Bach, in Beijing and accepted his letter of appointment. Wang Yi welcomed Bach to China for his new position, stating that the 21st century should be a time for accelerating development and revitalization in China and Africa. He thanked the African side for their support of President Xi Jinping's series of global initiatives. China is willing to work with Africa to implement the results of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Summit and to implement the 100% zero tariff measures on products from diplomatic countries in Africa, to jointly promote the modernization process and build a community of shared future between China and Africa in the new era.
