Dutch international analyst: If the budget expands fiscal spending, the Canadian dollar may strengthen.

Francesco Pessoli, an analyst at ING Bank, said that if the budget announced by Canada on Tuesday increases fiscal spending to support the economy affected by US tariffs, the Canadian dollar may strengthen. He pointed out that "the market's concerns about debt sustainability are high," which means that proactive fiscal stimulus policies should help boost the Canadian dollar, as this will reduce the risk of further interest rate cuts by the Bank of Canada. The budget will be released at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
