NVIDIA and Deutsche Telekom are investing 1 billion to jointly build a data center in Germany to strengthen the infrastructure in Europe that can drive complex artificial intelligence systems. Germany's largest telecommunications operator released a statement on Tuesday, saying that the facility is one of the largest data centers in Europe and is scheduled to start operation in the first quarter of 2026. The project was officially unveiled at a press conference in Berlin, attended by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Httges, as well as executives from SAP SE, Deutsche Bank AG, and two German ministerial-level officials. "We will introduce NVIDIA's artificial intelligence and robotics technology, ushering in a new era of industrial transformation in Germany," Huang said in a statement, describing the project as one of the most ambitious advanced AI chip deployment initiatives in Germany.
