Many areas in Henan Province have initiated an orange alert response to severe pollution.
According to the Henan Provincial Ecological Environment Monitoring and Safety Center forecast, due to adverse weather conditions, some areas of Henan may experience moderate to severe pollution risks starting from November 4th. In response to this, cities such as Luoyang, Jiaozuo, and Jiyuan in Henan activated an orange alert for severe pollution weather starting from 0:00 on November 4th, and the end time will be notified separately.
The warning advises the education department to ensure that primary and secondary schools, kindergartens stop outdoor classes and activities, and to use air purification devices if available; the health department to increase related disease outpatient and emergency services, add medical personnel, and extend treatment hours. Children, the elderly, and individuals with cardiovascular, respiratory diseases and other susceptible groups are advised to stay indoors, and if necessary to go out, take protective measures; the public is encouraged to use public transportation or electric vehicles for travel, turn off engines promptly when parked, and promote green and low-carbon travel.
