Beneficiaries reach nearly 118 million people, and the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project has successfully completed its annual water transfer task.

According to the South-North Water Diversion Project Group in China, as of October 31st, the middle route of the South-North Water Diversion Project has completed the water transfer task for 2024-2025, transferring a total of 64.73 billion cubic meters of water to the north. The project benefits 27 large and medium-sized cities along the route, benefiting nearly 1.18 billion people and providing strong water resource support and water security guarantees for the high-quality development of the economy and society along the route.
