Trump: Large Taiwanese companies will shift production to the United States.
According to a report by the Russian news agency Sputnik on November 3, US President Trump said that due to tariffs, major companies in Taiwan are shifting their chip production to the United States. In an interview with CBS released on the 2nd, Trump said, "In two years, we will control 40% to 50% of the chip market share. The biggest companies leaving Taiwan for the United States is because of the tariffs. None of this would happen without these tariffs." Trump believes that the US should focus on developing high-tech industries, while inexpensive goods should be purchased from abroad. "They can produce things we don't need to produce, like underwear or daily necessities. We can buy them at a low price, while we should maintain our leading position in artificial intelligence, chips, and other advanced technology fields." Trump emphasized.
