On November 1st local time, Brazilian President Lula attended the delivery ceremony of a dock renovation project in the city of Belm, capital of the state of Par in the northern part of the country. This project is a key supporting facility for the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Belm from November 10th to 21st, and is of great significance for the smooth convening of the conference. According to the official introduction from the Brazilian Presidency, the renovated dock will mainly serve as a reception area, with two cruise ships docking as temporary accommodation for up to 5000 attendees. At the same time, a new bridge at the port will provide fast connectivity between the dock and the main venue, significantly reducing travel time. Lula emphasized at the delivery ceremony that the project has been progressing at a record speed, from the start of construction on April 17th of this year to completion in just 6 months, and stated that "after the climate conference, Belm will be transformed."
