The National Transportation Safety Board in the United States confirmed on November 2nd local time that they are investigating a near collision incident that occurred near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on October 29th: a Southwest Airlines plane came dangerously close to colliding with a helicopter. According to flight tracking website information, at that time, the Boeing 737 aircraft was flying at the same altitude as a medical helicopter, both at 2075 feet, and the two aircraft were closest at 0.56 miles apart. Fortunately, the pilot of the plane received a "RA alert" in time, which is an emergency avoidance instruction issued by the aircraft collision avoidance system, thus avoiding a mid-air collision.
