The regulation on professional tax services related to Hainan Free Trade Port has officially come into effect.

On November 1st, the first local regulation in China that standardizes professional tax-related services, the "Hainan Free Trade Port Regulations on Professional Tax-related Services", officially came into effect. The "Regulations" contain a total of 23 articles, with specific tax-related professional services including tax declaration agency, general tax consultation, professional tax consultancy, tax compliance planning, tax certification, tax situation review and other service matters. In order to align with international rules, the "Regulations" explicitly promote cross-border personnel tax-related services, cross-border investment and financing facilitation tax-related services and other characteristic business of the free trade port, allowing overseas tax-related professional service institutions and personnel to participate in local services in accordance with national and free trade port regulations, and encouraging industry associations to establish internationalized and digitized platforms. By standardizing the behavior of tax-related professional service institutions and personnel, the "Regulations" better help market entities accurately grasp preferential policies and reduce tax-related risks.
