Hainan's off-island duty-free policy upgraded

Starting from November 1st, the new policy of duty-free shopping in Hainan's outlying islands will be officially implemented. The core adjustments of the new policy include: adding two categories of goods - pet supplies and portable musical instruments, totaling 47 categories; some domestic products such as clothing, accessories, and footwear can be sold duty-free in duty-free shops; the eligible group has been expanded to departing passengers, who can enjoy an annual duty-free quota of 100,000 RMB without restrictions on the number of purchases; island residents with a record of leaving the island within a natural year can purchase 15 categories of "buy-now, take-now" goods unlimited times throughout the year. The new policy better meets the diverse shopping needs of travelers and further unleashes the effects of duty-free policies in outlying islands.
