On the evening of October 31st, two planes at LaGuardia Airport in New York, USA, had a minor collision on the tarmac. At the time, the airport was facing severe delays due to bad weather and a shortage of staff caused by the government shutdown. A spokesperson for United Airlines said that a United Airlines plane returning from Orlando, Florida, scraped its wing against the tail of another United Airlines plane parked on the taxiway while turning to reach the gate. The plane that was hit was preparing to depart for Houston and was stationary at the time of the incident. There were no injuries in the accident.
