Hasan elected President of Tanzania.

The results of the presidential election announced by the National Electoral Commission of Tanzania on November 1st showed that Samia Suluhu Hassan, the candidate of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party and the current president, received 97.66% of the votes, becoming the first democratically elected female president in the country's history.
