At the end of the European market on Friday, the yield on German 10-year government bonds fell by 1.0 basis points to 2.633%, with a cumulative increase of 0.7 basis points for the week and a cumulative decrease of 7.7 basis points for October. The yield held steady around 2.7% from October 1 to 7, dropped to a low of 2.523% from October 7 to 17, and gradually rose again for the rest of the month. The yield on 2-year German bonds fell by 1.8 basis points to 1.968%, roughly flat for the week and down by 5.1 basis points for October, hitting a low of 1.852% on October 17. The yield on 30-year German bonds rose by 1.3 basis points to 3.211%, with a cumulative decrease of 6.9 basis points for October. The spread in the yield between 2-year and 10-year German bonds increased by 0.721 basis points to +66.275 basis points, with a cumulative decrease of 2.731 basis points for October.
