BYD announces patent for vehicle and charging station repairing battery pack

Tianyancha shows that on October 31st, the patent applied by BYD Company Limited for "Methods for repairing vehicle battery packs and charging piles for repairing battery packs" was disclosed. The abstract indicates that this invention relates to the field of battery technology. The method for repairing vehicle battery packs includes: when the vehicle is connected to a charging pile, the vehicle sends a repair plan for the battery pack to the charging pile; or the vehicle receives a repair plan for the battery pack; the vehicle cooperates with the charging pile to repair the battery pack based on the repair plan. With the method of repairing vehicle battery packs of the invention, the battery pack can be repaired in situ on the vehicle, extending the service life of the battery pack. Furthermore, when capacity degradation occurs in the battery pack during service, timely repair of the battery pack can be carried out through the battery pack repair method, effectively extending the battery pack's lifespan, reducing vehicle operating costs, and improving user experience.
