Closing: The Growth Enterprise Board Index fell more than 2.3% on the last day of October, while stocks in the innovative pharmaceutical sector rose sharply against the trend.
At the end of October, the A-shares market saw a collective decline in the three major indexes today. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.81%, with a cumulative increase of 1.85% in October and briefly reaching above 4000 points. The Shenzhen Component Index dropped by 1.14%, with a cumulative decrease of 1.1% in October. The ChiNext Index fell by 2.31%, with a cumulative decrease of 1.56% in October. The CSI 50 Index rose by 1.89%, with a cumulative increase of 3.54% in October. The total turnover in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong markets was 2.3498 trillion yuan for the whole day, a decrease of 114.5 billion yuan compared to the previous day. More than 3700 individual stocks in the market defied the trend and rose. 
In terms of sector performance, leading sectors included innovative drugs, AI language data, duty-free shops, movie theaters, liquor, and battery sectors; while insurance, diamond cultivation, storage chips, CPO, rare earth permanent magnets, and controllable nuclear fusion sectors performed poorly. 
In the market, the concept stocks of innovative drugs surged, with multiple stocks such as Sanshengguojiain, Shutaishen, Zhongshengyaoye, Lianhuangyaoye, and Anglikang hitting the daily limit up. AI language data and Sora concept securities related to AI applications experienced fluctuations and rises, with Fushikonggu, Sanliuliang, and Aorida reaching the daily limit. The battery sector remained active, with Tianjiu shares hitting two consecutive daily limits and Enguai shares also hitting the daily limit. Furthermore, sectors such as liquor, movie theaters, and duty-free shops experienced rotation during the day. 
On the other hand, stocks related to computing power hardware experienced adjustments, with Shenghong Technology falling by more than 10% during the day, and Tianfutongxin, Industrial Fulian, Xinyisheng, and Zhongji Xuchuang leading the decline. The storage chip sector also saw a similar correction, with Lanqi Technology, Yunhan Xincheng, Jiangbolong, Tuojing Technology, and Shennandianluo leading the decline.
