Liu Wenxiang's spicy hotpot was found to have a rag in it, and the merchant is under investigation.
On October 28, a netizen from Shanghai posted that they ordered takeout from "Liu Wenxiang Spicy Hot Pot" and found a whole piece of dishcloth in the food. On October 31, the Market Supervision Bureau of Minhang District in Shanghai released the latest investigation results, stating that the dishcloth found by the consumer in the takeout food was a white wet dishcloth that the staff at the store accidentally touched in the cooking basket. Currently, the store has been filed for investigation. Prior to this, the netizen posted that they were eating spicy hot pot with colleagues that day, "a colleague picked up a piece of lotus root, then picked up the dishcloth and asked what it was. I said it should be tripe, but she saw how big it was and put it down. Later, I ate a few more pieces and fished out a dishcloth, seeing the thread I realized it was a whole piece of dishcloth." Screenshots of the conversation with the store posted by the netizen showed that the store once said, "Leave the things there, we will come over and take a look to see if it is from our store."
