The Supreme People's Procuratorate announced on October 31 that from January to September this year, procuratorial organs have made corrective suggestions to 4110 cases of improper commutation, parole, and temporary suspension of serving sentences outside prison. The Supreme People's Procuratorate introduced that procuratorial organs have strengthened supervision over criminal proceedings. They have filed 12,000 cases of supervision over investigation agencies failing to file cases that should be filed, withdrawn 33,000 cases where cases should not have been filed, and made 63,000 written corrective suggestions for illegalities in investigative activities. In cases where arrests should have been made or prosecutions should have been initiated but were not requested or transferred for prosecution, 8124 additional arrests have been made and 23,000 additional prosecutions have been initiated.
