Shenzhen's two schools take the lead in implementing "Spring and Autumn breaks"
Recently, the Ke Garden School of Longgang District, Shenzhen, announced that November 14th and 17th will be designated as "autumn break," combining with the weekend to form a four-day mini vacation. Following the pilot "spring break" implemented by Longgang District Foreign Language School this spring, Ke Garden School became the first to introduce "autumn break," allowing the concept of "spring and autumn breaks" to take root in Shenzhen. On October 24th, Long Foreign Group also officially announced the implementation of "autumn break." The Shenzhen Education Bureau has clearly stated in the notice of the "2025-2026 academic year common middle and primary school calendar" that it encourages districts with favorable conditions to explore the establishment of spring and autumn breaks for middle and primary schools based on the actual situation - undoubtedly providing policy support and guarantees for schools with intention and conditions.
