Japanese media: Radiation detection instruments at Fukushima nuclear power plant were found to have falsified quality inspections, with the responsible individuals issuing false certificates without actually conducting the inspections.

The radiation detection instrument manufacturer "Chiyoda Technology" released a statement on October 30th, stating that the company had discovered falsification of quality inspection in the instruments used for radiation detection at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The responsible personnel had forged the quality inspection certificate and shipped the products without undergoing proper quality testing.
