The international team will test the photon AI chip in space.

The University of Florida, in collaboration with NASA, MIT, Pioneer Automation Company, AIM Photonics Company, and the Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz Institute in Germany, successfully sent a set of photon artificial intelligence chips to the International Space Station using the HTV-XI spacecraft from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. This move marks a new stage in space semiconductor research.
